TUSCALOOSA | Two drivers exchanged gunfire at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and 20th Street in Northport on Wednesday afternoon, said Capt. Joe Pearson of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit.
The first driver was in his vehicle at the intersection when the second driver, a man he knew, pulled up beside him and started firing a gun, Pearson said.
The first driver accelerated when a bullet hit his vehicle and rammed a car in front of him. The first driver said he then fired a gunshot at the second driver.
No warrants have been issued in connection with the incident but charges against the second driver are likely, Pearson said.
