TUSCALOOSA | Alabama brought out the big bats in Friday's game against Jacksonville State as the Crimson Tide softball team hammered the Gamecocks ,10-1, at the UA Softball Complex.

Alabama will play in the championship round of the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2. Jacksonville State will play the winner of Florida State/Chattanooga tonight at 7:30.

Charlotte Morgan hit the first of four Tide home runs. Her solo blast in the first inning gave UA a 1-0 lead.

Rachel Fleming answered back in the bottom of the first with a towering home run to center field to tie the score at 1.

Alabama flexed its muscle in the second with four more runs. The Tide added runs in every inning of the five inning game.

Ashley Holcombe, Kelley Montalvo and Brittany Rogers added home runs for the Tide.

Rogers' home run came on a ball hit up the middle that rolled to the fence. The junior centerfield showed off her speed as she raced around the bases and scored uncontested.

Ashley Eliasson (15-4) pitched 1 2/3 innings and gave up five runs on five hits and one walk.
