Tubbs would be the third member of his six-man signing class to transfer. Forward Avery Jukes (Butler University) and guard Verice Cloyde (UT-Chattanooga) transfered during the 2006-07 season.

The news concerning Tubbs comes in the wake of reports that freshman guard Rico Pickett also intends to transfer. Pickett and his father said he does not plan to return to the University of Alabama next season.

Univ. of Alabama head coach Mark Gottfried was not immediately available for comment. He is expected to meet the media this afternoon at a press conference with guard Ronald Steele, who will discuss his intentions to enter the NBA draft and explore the possibility of turning pro.
