The Crimson Tide received 19 of 23 first-place votes in the poll, which was released Wednesday. Alabama has won five tournaments in eight outings this season.

Alabama is now ranked No. 1 in all three major golf polls. Alabama is ranked No. 1 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings and in the Golf Stat team rankings, both of which are based on statistical formulas.

The Tide’s final regular-season tournament, the Morris Williams Intercollegiate, will be held April 7-8 in Austin, Texas.

Alabama’s low stroke leader is senior Michael Thompson, who is averaging 70.1 strokes per round in seven tournaments played. He will leave Saturday for Augusta, Ga., to play in The Masters.

Matthew Swann, a junior from Montgomery, is second on the team with a 72.44 average in seven tournaments. Mark Harrell is a close third on the team with a 72.53 average compiled over five tournaments.
