  • Richard Hendrix, the University of Alabama men's basketball team's leading scorer in 2008, will hold a press conference on Wednesday afternoon to discuss his plans for the future.

Hendrix, a 6-foot-8 unior from Athens, was also the top reboumder in the Southeastern Conference last season.

Crimson Tide head coach Mark Gottfried will also be in attendnance at the 1:30 p.m. press conference.

Like all underclassmen, Hendrix has the option of exploring his draft starus and working out for teams without forfeiting his college eligibility, provided he does not sign with an agent.

The web site nbadraft.net currently projects Hendrix as a second round pick (No, 40 overall) in the 2008 NBA draft, which will be held in June.
