CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. | The No. 2-ranked University of Alabama softball team did not play its scheduled two games at the UT-Chattanooga Round Robin due to inclement weather Wednesday.

The Crimson Tide’s games against Kent State and UT-Chattanooga at Frost Stadium were cancelled. There are no plans to make up the games.

Alabama will dive back into Southeastern Conference play and continue its road trip with a three-game set against Kentucky. The Tide will open its stay in Lexington, Ky., on Friday with a night game beginning at 5 p.m. CT. UA will then close the series on Saturday with noon CT doubleheader at the UK Softball Complex.

The Tide is led by leadoff hitter Brittany Rogers and second baseman Lauren Parker. Rogers sports a .511 (45-for-88) batting average with 39 runs and 33 stolen bases to lead the SEC. Parker has a .434 batting clip and a team-leading six home runs and 26 RBIs in just 53 at-bats.

In the circle, senior Chrissy Owens paces the UA squad with a 1.23 ERA in 14 appearances and sports a perfect 8-0 mark. Freshman Kelsi Dunne is 10-3 and has struck out 101 batters in 80.1 innings pitched. The rookie has hurled seven complete games with six shutouts in 12 starts.
