Cecil Hurt

Alabama 27, Arkansas 20

I don't think it will come down to a field goal like it did last year in Fayetteville. Razorbacks running back Darren McFadden will outgain Alabama freshman Terry Grant by 37 yards, but Tide quarterback John Parker Wilson will throw his first touchdown pass of the year. Sorry, but I just can't be more specific than that.

Christopher Walsh

Alabama 24, Arkansas 22

Remember last year when Arkansas dominated on the ground and Alabama in the air? Now the Tide has a running game, too, which means this could turn into the world's biggest game of keep-away. UA’s defense, ranked 15th nationally, will be tested, but Arkansas' offensive line probably isn't as good as last year.

David Wasson

Alabama 17, Arkansas 14

I think this is the opportunity that Leigh Tiffin has been dreaming of —and they are bad dreams — since last season. This time, though, the kid that gamely stood up to questions why his right instep failed him in Fayetteville will put his literal best foot forward for an Alabama victory. McFadden will impress, sure, but UA will be 3-0.

Andrew Carroll

Arkansas 31, Alabama 10

Arkansas has had extra time to prepare for Alabama, but the Hogs already had to know that Alabama’s defense is vulnerable. All Arkansas has to do is keep pounding away with running backs Darren McFadden, a Heisman Trophy candidate, and speedy Felix Jones. Even with an improved passing game, Alabama’s offense can’t score enough.

Michael Southern

Alabama 31, Arkansas 27

Is it too crazy of a thought that Terry Grant might match Darren McFadden yard for yard? Alabama's defense will face its most difficult challenge in trying to contain McFadden and Felix Jones, what about the Arkansas defense facing Terry Grant and UA’s offensive line? For the Tide to win, John Parker Wilson must be the deciding factor.

Edwin Stanton

Arkansas 21, Alabama 7

The Alabama defense has played very well so far, but against a Heisman candidate in Darren McFadden, the Tide will fall flat. Couple that with the Tide’s offensive passing troubles and it doesn’t look good. Alabama will hang tough with the Hogs for three quarters but eventually Arkansas will pull away in the fourth quarter.

Harold Stout

Alabama 28, Arkansas 27

At this time in the past few years, I would have been trying to figure out by how many points Arkansas would win. And the temptation was there this time, too. Especially with the running back tandem the Hogs bring to town. But something tells me to give this team a chance. There has been a big transformation. We’ll see how big.
