Tide women’s golf falls to fourth at Classic

CHARLESTON, S.C. | After a good start Sunday at the Cougar Classic in Charleston, S.C., the University of Alabama women’s golf team fell back to fourth in round two at the Yeamans Hall Golf Course.

The Tide came out hot on Sunday, carding a 286. On Monday, Alabama fired a 296.

Tennessee claimed the lead after a 288 and holds a three-shot advantage over Notre Dame. Texas is in third place.

True freshman Camilla Lenarth had the team’s lowest 36-hole score at 1-under 71. She is tied for seventh place in the individual standings.

The third and final round of the Cougar Classic begins at 9 a.m. today with a shotgun start. Live scoring can be found on the internet at www.golfstat.com.
