TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama forward Yamene Coleman remains a member of the Crimson Tide men’s basketball team pending further information on his Monday arrest, Tide head coach Mark Gottfried said on Tuesday.

Coleman was arrested by the Tuscaloosa Sheriff’s Department and charged with eight counts of credit card fraud.

Gottfried said Tuesday that his current response was limited but that Coleman’s situation “will not be as it appears to be right now.”

“I think that will be the case as the facts are gathered,” Gottfried said.

“Yamene Coleman is a terrific human being. I have faith in Yamene.

That’s all I will say now, but as I learn more, I will have another statement at another time.”
